Whilst Timsfield Stage One sections are available to be purchased by anyone wishing to buy a property in Hawea,
a special programme has been put in place to assist purchasers who meet criteria that has been carefully developed by Willowridge.
Willowridge Director, Allan Dippie has been working for many years now as a member of the QLDC Affordable Housing panel and has been involved in helping to develop a strategy for community housing that the QLDC wishes to encourage and promote. Work on this panel has given Allan an insight into some of the existing and future problems and issues associated with buying property in a fast growing market where land is scarce and property values rise rapidly.
The Kiwi 1st Home Ownership Option has been developed by Willowridge – an indication of the company’s commitment and support to addressing the region’s Affordable Housing issues.

The Kiwi 1st Home Ownership Option is aimed at:
» 1st home buyers committed to living and working in the Upper Clutha area. Eg a tradesperson with a long term commitment to a local employer. » Young families wishing to secure long term affordable home ownership. Eg: A family presently renting wishing to own their own home. » People moving to the Upper Clutha area who bring valuable and needed skills. Eg: A teacher moving to a local school. » Retired or near retired people looking for a more affordable and manageable retirement option. » People in special circumstances and people who have given good service to the Upper Clutha community.
A key criteria all purchasers under Timsfield’s Kiwi 1st Home Ownership Option must meet is that the homes must be owner occupied, and the purchases must be committed to establishing their primary and permanent home on that section.
If you purchase a section under the Kiwi 1st Home Ownership Option but for some reason your circumstances change then that section must be offered back to Willowridge Developments Limited at the same price it was purchased for (for up to two years after settlement).
The Kiwi 1st Home Ownership Option is not available to holiday house or secondary house owners, and property investors, and is limited to one section per Kiwi 1st purchaser.

If successful then once you have your finance confirmed, you will be able to select the section of your choice from the sections on offer.
